Fall has finally hit northwest Atlanta, and I am here for it! The mornings are crisp and invigorating. Leaves of gold, red, and orange set the landscape ablaze. Dropping temps beg for a cozy fire. What goes with sitting in front of a lovely fire better than being snuggled up with a fantastic book? I’ve been filling up my library with reads that I can’t wait to dive into. Here’s what on my fall to-be-read list:
The Wedding Date Deal (Book 1 of the Boyfriend in the Bargain series), Jordan Millsaps: A sweet, swoon-worthy fake dating story with plenty of witty banter and lol awkward moments.
And bonus holiday novella, The Holiday Exchange, Jordan Millsaps: This prequel novella to the Boyfriend in the Bargain series features a friends-to-more romance, kittens, and a shy hero. (Free for a limited time for subscribers to Jordan’s newsletter.)
This multi-book series features a sweet, clean romcom by seven authors all set in the fictional town of Harvest Hollow, NC. It has allllll the fall vibes (especially those gorgeous covers) and gives romcom fans plenty of hunky, swoony heroes and lovable heroines readers can’t help but cheer for.
- Just Don’t Fall, Emma St. Clair: Before Logan Barnes was hockey’s hottest bad boy, he was my brother’s best friend … and my first crush. Oh, yeah–and the guy who ghosted me and broke my teenage heart.
- The Fall Back Plan, Melanie Jacobson: The bad boy and the golden girl have traded places…
- Can’t Help Falling, Courtney Walsh: Sometimes all it takes to start a fire is a single match. . .
- Faking the Fall, Julie Christianson: When the movie star’s spotlight could hurt the ones he loves most …
- Easy as Pie, Carina Taylor: My best friend is back in town—and I refuse to let my pesky attraction to him ruin our friendship.
- Not so Fictional Fall, Savannah Scott: I live for happily ever afters. And I’m finally meeting my favorite romance author in person!
- Absolutely Not in Love, Jenny Proctor: My requirements for a man are simple. Must love books. Must NOT love hockey.
Flirtation or Faceoff, (DC Eagles Hockey #2) Leah Brunner: Affable pro-hockey player falls first for his bookish crush, who’s sworn off dating athletes.
A Different Kind of War, Jennifer Purcell: A fierce protector of her family and a pacifist outsider form a friendship as they work together to accomplish their goals—including proving her innocence of an unspeakable crime—leading to a battle with something more personal at stake than the Civil War that just ended.
Holiday Menace: Will Christmas be merry and bright? Lives are in danger when menacing pressures threaten to derail Christmas in this heart-pounding suspense—plus a little romance—collection of 10 brand-new novellas from Jerusha Agen, Mary Alford, Lori Altebaumer, Danielle Grandinetti, Sarah Hamaker, Kendall Hoxsey, Karen Kirst, Pat O’Brien, Hope Welborn, and Terri Weldon. Each story takes readers on a dangerous Christmastime journey of mystery, suspense, romance, and faith.
But He’s My One Regret, (Book 2, But He’s a Carter Brother series) Annah Conwell: This one hasn’t hit my Kindle yet, but it’s available for pre-order and drops October 26. This second-chance, forbidden love romcom gives readers sizzling chemistry between a detective and his police department’s psychologist.
